On New Year’s Eve, we were informed by a media representative that the Grammy-nominated artist Matisyahu is featured in Moshav’s new “World on Fire” single and music video available for immediate download on iTunes. “World on Fire” is Moshav’s first collaboration with Matisyahu. It is also the first single from the rock band’s upcoming album, “New Sun Rising,” which will be released in March.

… Co-founder Yehuda Solomon stated the song evokes a picture of our “World on Fire.” He said, “Fire is a powerful tool that we can use to either cause harm or destruction, or to bring light into darkness. The possibility to ‘turn around and start over’ requires courage. To stand up to our fears and doubts so we can ‘carry each other’ even though we humans seem so different.” He adds that sometimes the things in this world that seem the furthest away from each other are actually connected.

… Matisyahu said, “Working with my good friends from Moshav has been as always a blast. I think the fun we have with each other and the love we have for each other really comes across in the sing and video.” Listening to the song shows the love these collaborating artists have for each other as well as the “World on Fire.”

It’s about time Moshav played some music in LA. So we’ve decided spontaneously to do a little intimate concert this Saturday night – Dec 28th before the year is out, to celebrate the life and birthday of our teacher R’ Shlomo Carlebach with some special guests!
Where: Happy Minyan @ The karate Academy 9218 W. Pico Blvd.
Starts 8:30. All ages welcomed.

In time for Chanukah, Moshav releases its new music video, “World on Fire” featuring Grammy-nominated artist, Matisyahu. At a time when holiday shoppers are tripping over each other to buy presents, the video shows that the greatest of gifts requires very little money. The camera follows a $20 bill as it passes through the hands of children and adults that have different hopes and hardships. Produced by Bancs Media, the video boasts a stellar cast of actors. Moshav, whose first studio album was titled “The Things You Can’t Afford” continues the theme of kindness as the best currency in their new album “New Sun Rising.” due out March  “World on Fire” is the infectious lead single of the album and could be purchased, here.
